Bandana Waves II

Our results with the bandana waves were not as dramatic as the ones that Elizabeth demonstrated on her blog. We only used 2 bandanas, and this was not adequate for my daughter's thick hair. We tried again with 3 bandanas, and had better results, but still not the awesome big waves we craved. We will try again with 4 bandanas, and will get pictures of that! Rag curling is AMAZING though! I have been playing with this, and I recommend using rags to get soft, chemical-free, curly hair! It really lasts!

Bandana Waves

I have just discovered Elizabeth's blog: Rapunzel's Resource, and an amazing resource it is too! Being of longish hair, and having a daughter who adores her long hair, we have been investigating hair styles for my sister's upcoming wedding in New York city. Rapunzel's Resource is full of wonderful, non-heat activated hairstyles. One page from her site suggests creating amazing waves using bandanas. So my daughter is sleeping with bandanas in her hair tonight, and tomorrow we will see what happens. If this is a good thing, then we may have found our resource for her wedding hair style. Here is the link for the bandana waves page: http://rapunzelsresource.wordpress.com/2009/09/24/bandana-waves/ We will report in tomorrow!
